Four seconds of justice

Posted: February 26, 2012 in 1975 Yamaha RD350

Finally figured out with the help of some Internet forums that the flasher unit needed to be replaced for the new turn signals to work.  I had to head to AutoZone and pick up an automotive one, but after getting it in the bike, the flashers work as they should!

With the help  of Wayne and Shawn, we were able to create a new taillight/turn signal bracket.  It came out really clean!  It does look like a new flasher relay will be needed to get the turn signals to operate correctly though.

Leaky sprocket seal

Sprocket seal was leaking, so the clutch had to come apart to get to it for replacement.

Removed the rear fender and turn signals today.  the bike looks WAY better this way, though the pictures dont do it justice since the lighting sucked.  I am going to pick up some cleaner looking signals and an inner fender later on.

New seat arrived!

New seat came!  It almost looks like it could be stock!  It weighs VERY little compared to the actual stock seat, and it is pretty comfortable.

Sonny was able to give starting the bike a chance with the mods so far.  This is a start with NO battery and with a capacitor instead.  One kick with no ignition to charge it, and one more and it was roaring!
