Machined down the sprocket carrier a bit to get the offset to be less.  Worked like a charm and still have plenty of clearance from chain to tire!

Got a lot of the rear shock mounting done!  Sonny did some lathe and welding work to get it all pretty much on lockdown!

Mock up of rear end

Posted: October 19, 2013 in 1975 Yamaha RD350

Mock up with stuff just resting on the bike.  Rear shock isn’t totally mounted yet and paint and all that stuff has to be done still, but this is a pretty close idea.  Got a slightly smaller profile tire on the way as well.

Swingarm in the frame!

Posted: October 18, 2013 in 1975 Yamaha RD350

Thanks to major help from Andrew Helander, we got the swingarm machined to fit perfectly center in the frame!  Here are some pics.  The rear wheel is a GS500 wheel, which I want to try to make work, but it may not be doable.  Gotta just try and see what happens!
