We need to get some new coark plates for the Allstate’s clutch, so we went ahead and took the clutch back apart.  Here are some pics!

Since the clutch was sticking, we took apart the clutch to clean it all up.  Here are some pics:

First start!

Today we were able to start the Allstate for the first time!  It has a leaky petcock which will need sorting, but check it out!

Cleaned up

Took some time today to just clean up the Allstate.  Did a nice wash and wax, and a basic polish job with some semichrome.  Made a big difference!

Cleaned up the carb and put it back on the bike.  It looks much nicer now!  Also took the throttle apart to clean it up since it was a little rough.  Interesting slide mechanism for how the cable is operated!

Carbs apart

Took the carb apart on the Allstate.  Not in bad shape!  A quick clean and it should be good to go.  Also tested it for spark after cleaning up the points a bit and it has a really nice spark!

Picked up this 1966 Sears Allstate 250 from the brother of the original owner!  It is in nice shape for its age and should prove to be a fun project!
